Salut everyone! My name's Acanthea (actually Jenny but that's such a usual name!) I am currently a big member of the UMAP fandom! I just joined it two weeks ago. More or less. What you should know about me: I am 19 years old and from germany! So excuse my bad english I am doing an education for educator (that sounds so stupid...) - you know, taking care for kids and learn together with them in a kindergarten. My greatest hobby would be art: drawing or modelling with many different materials like pencils, clay, water color or with digital tools like SAI, Photoshop or Sculptris. I also try to create my own music: since my guitar playing skills are รก la Albert... Well, I am using a computer programm for that. Or, I try to use. I need to practice. A lot. Even by the fact my music making skills are at level 0.5 I love music. I love to listen to it and I am attracted to beautiful voices. The reason I like A monster in Paris isn't just because I love nice voices. The characters are very special an the story may be a bit cliche, but still great. I love how the fandom can bring in their ideas and headcanons. That's why I joined La Seine, this forum here! But is it still active? I hope so! I hope I can meet great people and enjoy a nice communication. Many greetings! Acanthea

For the most part, it's not I still come & check every once in a while, though. Welcome! And yay, another artist!

Oh... sad to hear this, really. I really was looking forward to see more fans and lovers of Un Monstre A Paris! But hey, fantastic to meet you, really! Maybe others will look into the Forums here again, and see that we left a message. Well, ye, I like to do art activities, but I must admit that I'm not very good at it. But hey, I have fun at doing that, and even if the results aren't so good how I wanted I won't stop! So... may I ask if there are still other active members? It's still great that you answered me, no doubt! Really! But the more, the funnier, isn't it?

Hmm.... Maybe Sailor Yue, I see her check in every once in a while. But it will likely be just the two of us for the time being. Don't worry about not being so great. If you keep at it, you can only get better.

Maybe we can lure some more people to this place when we keep a little bit active Maybe we can bring this Forum back to life again. That would be awesome! ;D Agreed, you're right! I'll just practice more. After all it's fun for me, and that's the most important, isn't it?

Me either I also don't want to push old topics since the rules say it's not allowed. If I remember correctly. Hm, are there other Fandoms you're in? Like Lord of the Rings, Doctor Who, Harry Potter, etc. For example, I am also a How to train your Dragon liker.

I don't think the rules really matter so much since the admins haven't been around for like a year to enforce anything. XD Right now I'm really into The Hobbit. I love the book, and now the movies. I got to see The Desolation of Smaug on Christmas Eve and I LOVED it, it was great. I'm so excited for the last movie now!

Oh yeah, The Hobbit! It was great, sadly I didn't read the book yet. I really should!
I love Smaug, I have a thing for dragons! They really made him look and act just wonderful. Not that I approve bad evil acting, but if it would be an actor... you know what I mean xD

Haha, yeah. Now I understand why Benedict Cumberbatch's fans were freaking out so bad when it was revealed he'd be the voice of Smaug. Just, damn, what a voice. <3 And yeah Smaug wins my award as Best Dragon Ever. XD

Yep, love the voice! The german one isn't so strong. I don't like it so much >.<
I am also looking forward to the Temeraire Series. Peter Jackson said he wants to make movies of the books. And if the dragons will be just as good as Smaug it's going to be awesome!

Temeraire? Not sure I've heard of that.

Great books! It's about the Napoleonic Wars, and what would have been if there were intelligent dragons as an armee too. It's very complex, and the main characters - Captain Laurence and the dragon Temeraire - are fantasic. I can only recommend that. And Peter Jackson will do movies about that. But I don't know when
