"Good, thats how you know you're in fashion." Regine smiled as she threw a dress over Adeline's head. "You look so lovely deary. Oh, you know what would go with that dress? A diamond necklace and I know just theright one. Stay right here." And with that, Aunt Regine left the room with Adeline all alone.

Hungryhungryhungy. That was the single thought going through the little moths mind at the moment. It was early for her to be up, but her stomach grumbles would have made it near impossible to stay in dream land. So, without too much thought, she'd left her place of rest within a high-up attic and went in search of something to eat. Whatever she could find to fit her diet would do, she wasn't going to be picky today. Landing upon a roof, she looked over the edge to count how many of the odd humans were about. There weren't that many, so she was grateful. Being small, it was unlikely that many would take much notice to her if she went down there. All the poof she had really helped, as it would mimic that of other small furry animals. If she kept to herself, with her antenna against her head, she was certain to sneak past them and do as she pleased. From across the street she eyed a shop, which she couldn't see very well. Her feelers told her it smelled of a substance that was edible- but from this distance it was hard to see- or smell- exactly what the substance was. Curse her bad eyesight! Mindful of the humans below, she spread her wings and quickly glided to the roof of the other building. "What you?" she questioned allowed to herself. Oh, now she could smell it. With her antenna twitching against her head, she carefully jumped down into the ally beside the shop, came around front, and skittered inside. This store with all its fabrics would make a good breakfast.

Aunt Regine was out searching for the necklace inside the cabinets of jewlery she had on reserve when she finally found the one she was looking for. After turning around though, she spotted what appeared to be a small Maltese-Dalmation mix nibbling on one of the store's most expensive dresses.
"Puppy dog, what are you doing?!" she said trying to grab the dress away from the creature, "This is made from the finest Egyptian cotton!"
Adeline heard her Aunt screaming and came out from the dressing room.
"Auntie, is something the matter?"

"Puppy dog, what are you doing?!"
Crap. She'd been spotted! At least her fur seemed to make her resemble a 'puppy dog', so the woman was not so frightened. There'd be no screams of "Monster!" if this kept up. Before she could take the delicious dress and get out, the human came and tried to force it away from her grasp and mouth. Making an irritated noise at the woman's tugging, she bit down onto the dress with her blunt teeth and ripped a chunk out.
"Nrrrg!" Aurore squeaked as she ended up falling onto her hind-quarters. Sitting on the floor, one arm came to take the tattered cloth from her mouth, and the other three she used to stand back up and rub her sore bottom. Falling had caught her off guard and stunned her thinking, so she was hesitant to leave.

Aunt Regine was able to get the dress back, but now it was full of holes.
"Oh, now my best haute coutore dress is RUINED!" the old woman whaled.
Adeline felt her way through the shop walking over to see if the little creature who was bugging her aunt.
"There, there. Don't worry, I won't hurt you." Adeline reached her hand over and started petting the fluffy little thing.

As soon as her mind came back to her, it was lost again. Another human had come to investigate why the other one was whining, ending up with her feeling light. Aurore leaned forward as her head was stroked, making a pleased noise. This was nice.
For once, humans brought something positive to her. This one here wasn't hurting her- as it'd even been so kind to reassure with words and gentle touches. Though, the moth was still not to sure; as trusting and she could be, she was just as distrusting. As soon as that hand left her, she'd make her way out.

"Adeline, are you crazy? That thing ruined my merchandise!"
"Auntie, this poor little puppy is obviously hungry and was probably just looking for something to eat." she said picking up the little fuzzball in her arms. "I'm going to take her into the kitchen and give her some scraps. After that, you won't have to deal with her again."
With that she walked off to the kitchen with the creature and after closing the door, set the little fluffy thing down.
"I noticed you had wings when I was petting you, so I know you're not really a dog, but we can't let Aunt Regine find out or she'll freak out even more. Now then, what kind of things do you usually eat?"

She continued to make pleased sounds as the one human talked to the other. It was obvious that the one who took the dress from her was superior to the one petting her. Despite that, the lower one spoke fondly of Aurore.
"I'm going to take her into the kitchen and give her some scraps,"
Scraps? Scraps meant food. Well, there was no escaping now! She happily allowed her to take her into their kitchen, which she assumed was where the food was at. On the way, she stuffed the piece of cloth she'd ripped off the dress into her mouth, not really chewing but rather swallowing it whole. Suddenly, being moved to the floor, Aurore glanced at the closed door as if pondering her later escape. Her eyes would then fix themselves upon the talking human, who seemed to have been smart enough to realize Aurore was no dog.
"Eat sweet stuff." was all she said in reply.

Adeline was quite startled hearing the little creature speak. She knew this was no ordinary creature, but she wasn't expecting one that talked. After shaking her head to get herself back into reality, she remembered hearing her new little friend say she liked sweet things and she remembered there was a jar of maraschino cherries in the pantry, went to go get them, and put some in a saucer and put them on the ground.
"Here. I'm sure you'll find these sweet enough for your taste."

She un-pinned her feelers from her head, feeling a little bit more relaxed. Standing was becoming tedious, so she sat down as the human fetched her food. She would Look down at the saucer, the color and smell of the fruit made her mouth water as she took one in her hand and popped it in her mouth. Stem and all. Who would think such small fruit could be better than fabric? Aurore would have come to think it would have to be at least the size of her hand to taste just as good. Then again, size didn't quiet matter when it came to taste.
"Mmm~" she purred as she ate quickly, feelers drooping forward. It didn't take long to clear the saucer.

Adeline smiled as the creature purred.
"There now. Wasn't that good?" Adeline petted the creature, scratching its antennae. "Much better than chewing on tough expensive fabric."

"Oui!" she cheerfully agreed. "Veryvery good- veryvery sweet!" the hospitality and kindness of this single human was very stunning. She'd never met anyone who'd willing feed her. She picked the saucer up and licked it a few times, before setting it back down; much fuller now that she'd ate something more than thin fabric.
Grinning at being petted, Aurore closed her eyes and placed her hands upon the floor. Her antenna would draw back onto her head as it was scratched, making her body twitch and shiver. "Non touch!" she cried, making a face split between frustration and utter glee.

Adeline took her hand back.
"Oh sorry, I didn't know that it was uncomfortable to scratch there." Adeline spoke in apology, "Well, I guess you being a winged insect, you probably need those antennae to navigate. I too need to have my own way to navigate my way around."
Adeline got up and went over to get her cane and came back.
"You see, I've been blind since birth, so unlike most people, I have to use a cane to get around when I go out."

"Oui, do." she said. "Smell, feel, hear, use lots things for." Aurore watched as she went to get something- coming back with a cane. "Blind? Non see?" what a terrible shame for one not to see the world! Even with Aurore's blurred, darkened vision, she could see fairly well enough.

"No." Adeline said shaking her head. "A lot of people think I'm too helpless to be doing things by myself, but I've never really considered my blindness to be that big of a handicap. My aunt often tries to baby me though; I know she love me, but it still gets annoying, especially when she's trying to cut my own food or lead me over someplace I know where to get to."
