t accures to me... something tells me that theres some un seen scene or something, cuz for some reason things dont entirely add up with Charles.

he obviously starts the movie hating Raoul, wanting him OUT of the green house.
scared out of his wits and spending the whole night stuck on the sunflower (being taken down by the police the following mid morning after Francoeur's transformation)
being agitated by Raoul saying "Arrest the monkey, it was his flea"

then suddenly the next day at the press conference, he's following Raoul around and wants to help protect Francoeur.
meeting Lucille for the first time at the cabaret preceding maynott's invasion

so im just confused what caused Charles to change? was the first time he met Francoeur at the cabaret? if so then why did he start hanging around Raoul and Emile? sheer boredom? , and why do i care?

another unanswerable question except by fanwriters: where did Franceour spend the day following his transformation? it showed during his "rampage" [for lack of a better word] thru Paris that he ended up near the cabaret to hear Lucille be singing... did he spend the night on the roof?

[these questions for osme reason my Muse refuses to allow me to dwell long on. guess cuz of all the stories im still writing and what not]

im wondering perhaps at some point between meeting Franceour and the press conference did Raoul and Emile go back to the greenhouse to talk to CHarles?

I've been wondering that as well, and also the part of the movie that bothers/confuses me the most is the scene where Lucille and Maynott are having tea. Lucille's reaction when Pate tells Maynott that he has three suspects is kind of odd for someone that at the time isn't involved at all. I wonder if she was originally suppose to meet Francoeur before this? it would have been nicer if this was the case because we probably would have gotten to see Francoeur more

Prolly the same thing that got Raoul & Lucille to quit bickering- Francoeur's safety was more important to them than their own disagreements. Also, I think Charles does like Raoul, he doesn't seem too annoyed with him right at the start; just with it being Raoul's first time inside & seeing the Professor's lab, he's a little obnoxious in his excitement. And what good assistant botanist wouldn't be annoyed by that?
