shout factory is very unimaginative. its just the picture from the poster of lucile and francoeur with the movie title, not animated like the canada dvd, any menue option apears in the moon above their head. will say they didnt make bad decisiions for the screencaps of each chapter tho. atleast the "trailer" option the moviephone guy pronounces Francoeur the right way, instead of saying FRANK like he does for the english UK trailer. no special features [dont have the screenshot of it, but in the canada dvd when the gang is trying to fake francoeur's death, when Francoeur grabs lucille the captions say: (singing, chirring) and the us dvd says (whinning)

wow that's a big bummer but at least they used the right art for the box and menu unlike their medabots first season >_> D: really? what the crap were they thinking? the poor hearing-impaired people that watch this copy of the movie are going to be so confused

SF also doesnt know how to spell fertilizer. "Super- fertiliser" and "Atomisatune"
and no subtitles to indicate that the comb is musical for Francoeur so hearing impaired people will think he's just facinated by something shiney, not hte fact that music can come from anything

Not sure if this counts but, I just realized this: You know how after Maynott raids the cabaret and our heroes are trying to figure out how to hide Francoeur, and Raoul says, "All I know is deliveries, Emile is all about movies, you're an expert in show business..." And then Lucille says "Exactly,"as if all three of those random areas of knowledge will help them, and he gets what Lucille is talking about, but in the end the actual plan appears to have nothing to do with anything other then show business? I guess this is more of a theory than anything else, but I always sort of wondered how deliveries and movies, fit into the plan, and why they even mentioned them. Then I remembered how Maud pointed out that Méliès was Emile's idol. I thought that was just a cute little tip of the hat to Georges Méliès, but Méliès was a magician as well as a filmmaker, and famous for his trick photography (I'm a movie buff, I especially love silent films, so I've seen some of his work. By any chance does anyone know the name of the film Raoul delivers? I tried to find out, but I can't seem to find any film by that name. It might be fun if it was a real film, or at least to know what it says in English). He is sometimes referred to as the Father of Special Effects. One thing he often did was to make objects seem to disappear on screen. Kind of like how Raoul, Lucille and Emile, all played a magic trick: drawing everyone's attention with the smoke of the 'antidote' and then having Francouer magically vanish (or shrunk, but same principle). I'm just wondering if that's what Raoul meant by Emile's knowledge of movies - that Emile could figure out the magic trick to pull on everyone. And maybe that's why Méliès name was dropped in that early scene. That's my theory anyway. I may be reading too much into it, but if that is what was intended, I wish they would've put that in. Like if we could've seen Emile setting up or explaining the trick. It makes much more sense to me, because otherwise Emile doesn't really do anything in the plan, except give Maynott the bottle. I think it would've been nice to see Emile a bit more active at that part. But I still don't know how Raoul's knowledge of deliveries was suppose to help the plan. XP Some other things I just noticed, although, I don't know if they've been pointed out yet. In that scene while I was rewatching it, behind Raoul is a doll in a similar outfit to one of Lucille's. I thought that was cute. I just noticed that. And I feel dumb, because I only now just realize what Maynott was actually dedicating in the scene following. XP I never really knew what he was doing, or really cared at that point. I was more concerned with what would happen to Francoeur. Also while I was rewatching some scenes, I fast forwarded too far and had to rewind. While I was doing that I accidentally pressed play right at the moment that Albert is hitting his high note 'singing': "Ahhhhhh!" I just cracked up! It was so random. But anyway, I noticed (while rewinding) the flower actually droops the entire time he's singing. It's so subtle I never noticed it before, but if you slowly fast forward you can see the flower moving more clearly. Also Catherine has like a... a bendy springy hood ornament in the shape of a cat, complete with whiskers and a smiley face. XD I wonder if Raoul likes cats? Gosh, the things you notice when you watch the movie out of order, and on a smaller screen. XP I just noticed so many little shots that I didn't remember seeing. I'll have to post more if I find any interesting ones.

1 i think Raoul's expertise on deliveries would go back to Francoeur's "birth" place. How else did Emile get ahold of the purple splody potion? Raoul would have gone back to the lab with Charles to get it. The Label was assumedly in Charle's handwriting cuz it was in the same cursivy writing the fertilizer and singing potion were in. Plus Francoeur was in his "monster" disguise which is very obvious, so perhaps Raoul drove him to his hiding spot during the inauguration so less people were likely to see him if he were to jump roof to roof? As for Raoul and cats... it would seem really ironic if he has such a terrible feather allergy and yet cats do nothing for his allergies.

Yeah, that makes sense I guess, but they could've made it more clear. I still think it seems a little weird how it was phrased. XP As for cat, it kind of makes sense though. If Raoul got a cat it'd chase all the birds away. Or maybe his hood ornament is a good luck charm for scaring birds off. Kind of how people get those fake hawks and owls to scare birds off. And just like with the fake hawks, it doesn't appear to be working very well. XD Better shot of the kitty here, on the left: For some reason, when I see this shot it looks like Francoeur is scared of it. It's just such a cute, random thing for Raoul to put on his truck.

lol! That's cute XD And I like your theory of how their various skills would help Francoeur, that's pretty neat.

I figured Emile's roll in the plan \ as a projectionist, Emile understands everything about "smoke and mirrors" and the like, which is what they did when planning to fake Francoeur's death, a giant smoke screen that allowed him to hide in the trap door

perhaps it has been too long since ive seen the movie... this random moment: HES SO FRIKCING ADORABLE ;D this shot also makes it indicant that francoeur figures out he's right handed. the guitar landed in his lap leftly, and so while he figures how to play it, its as left handed, but when on stage he plays it right handed

I love that shot! I agree, he looks adorable sitting on that too-small seat with his guitar.
I never even realized he was right-handed! XD
And smoke and mirrors, yes exactly! That must be it, but it took me forever to figure that out. ^^

Wow, so many things you guys noticed!
I don't know if it has been said, but: Francour's spines on his back can move inwards. You can see it when he helps to collect the pearls from the woman.
And yes, he helps to collect them. While "A Monster in Paris", the song, when we see from Francour's perspective, he first looks at the pearl and then offers it!

Yeah! And it must be rather depressing and also frustrating if everyone is running away from you screaming, and you never have done anything (except braking some glasses, meh) Also, do you agree I think that Francour tried to hide himself when Lucille first met him?
