For this game, people should watch a movie that has little to no deep meanings to it (possibly ones that are badly written; maybe even ones with corporate meddling) and try to explain whatever philosophical or analytical points you get out of watching the film in detail so we can watch the film with new, unintentional eyes.
Okay, maybe I should give my own example to start this game.
Quest for Camelot
People, especially the artists who worked on the film, may view this movie as just a crappy film that started off with a good concept that got ruined by corporate executives in order to compete with the Disney market, but really, the movie is an underlying story about the decent of a person's mind into insanity and how chaos is a normal happening in the real world no matter how much we try to ignore it make sense of our world.
Take for example the character of Garrett, the blind hermit. Garrett became blind as a young adolescent, a transition point for many growing up when the world starts to make less sense to us than they did when we were younger and we're forced to accept that world in order to grow up and function in society. Unable to see what has become and accept his insane world, he tries leaving it behind only for the insanity to follow him wherever he goes, whether it be a walking plant, a two-headed dragon who never shuts up and bursts into song, or a young lady who becomes a knight despite her not doing anything that requires her to be one. Slowly, his insanity catches up with him and he if forced to accept the chaos in order to become a man, only to leave his sanity behind him and embrace the chaos of our world, forever leaving his mind blinded to whatever sensibilities he had left.
This might sound like I'm pulling this whole theory out of my rear, but I'm not. This movie is GENIUS!
Okay, so that's my example. I wanna hear from you guys.
