Translated the lyrics, and I didn't have to deviate too much from what google said because it actually didn't botch up too much (for once): All the tears that you see Running down my face They reflect my story Peaceful and free of rage I am a monster, I, Francoeur I no longer fear the storm I sing of life and it’s pleasures Until my last hours O rage, without despair I look at Paris And I bet you one day You will also sing Of what we call love It’s the end of this poem Ephemeral and sensitive wherever I go You know, Paname I leave Love… In the soul As a side note, I heard from someone on DA that the line "O rage, without dispair" refers to a famous quote "O rage, o desespoir", though I don't remember what it's from. Also, if you don't know, the word "Ephemeral" means "short-lived" and "Paname" is a sort of old-fashioned slang word for Paris which has gotten popular with all the Parisian adolescents nowadays. The good thing is, you only have to tweak the lyrics of this song a little to make it fit in english, so hopefully Sean's version won't deviate too much from the french version. I really like the lyrics in this one.

Ooh, this is such a pretty song! <3 Such a shame it's on the short side, but it works. And thanks for the lyrics translation, Becca! :D

I really like the lyrics in this one. this is really-- uh-- poetic? I feel bad that I don't really understand what Francoeur's trying to get across. Is he singing about love in his heart, that is unrequited? Can we discuss this because for some reason it's not making sense to me. Of course, I haven't even like seen the movie yet. haha

I dont want to spoil so I will say that this is more like a death song(which really it isnt).
He is saying that he did not go with anger or rage. Yes he died known as the Monster of Paris but he is at peace. He had found love in Paris, though one day maybe Paris would realize that they loved him too(at least as the singer with Lucille).
It is a sad song about passing on without blaming the people who hurt or hunted him, showing that he(even though a monster) truly did have a kind and loving soul(unlike normal monsters who would want revenge and hate everyone for how they treated them.)
