I don't know if this is the right place for this, but...
Well, I need to express this.
Spoilers.
I dislike them, and try to avoid them as best I can, but... sometimes it's hard. I have to both fight off my own curiousity and try to avoid unlabelled spoilers (which can be VERY hard and rather annoying).
Ever since the sneak previews in France on Sunday, this task has become increasingly difficult. I've already been spoiled too much for my own liking thanks to some people's indiscretion regarding spoilers. A lot of us (ie, everyone who doesn't live in France or can't attend the TIFF premiere) will not have a chance to see it for ourselves for quite some time.
I, for one, would like to be surprised upon my first viewing and don't want to know things in advance. Speculation is one thing, but 100% confirmation before a viewing is something else entirely and can ruin one's experience.
As it is, my own enjoyment of this movie has already been negatively affected by these spoilery tid-bits.
Do I have to go underground and completely avoid all things AMIP until my first viewing? Because, I really don't want to have to do that. I enjoy the fanart and the discussion, but if I'm going to be spoiled with these unwanted tid-bits... I may have to leave for a bit or stay off the internet entirely. And what am I left to do with my time if I do that? I don't exactly have an interesting life... I suppose I'll go back to the depressing boredom, again.
Anyway, I hate to rant (because that's what this is starting to sound like)...
But, please... keep the spoilers under wraps? Spoiler tags are nice, but if people reveal them in their replies it's rather pointless.
As for the things that I've been spoiled with...
I've unfortunately, unintentionally, discovered that
Add to that the apparent fact that
Anyway, see how easy it is to use spoiler tags when mentioning things other people have yet to see for themselves? Now the only thing preventing you from being spoiled is your own willpower.
So, please, just.... try to be discreet with any mention of spoilers. I'd hate to have this whole experience ruined for me by a ton of tid-bits "spoiling" the surprise. :<
EDIT: Mon Dieu! Why am I so pissed off by this?! The spoilers, the fandom-ruining canon (supposedly, I'm not letting it go til I see it with my own eyes, but still!) ARGH! This is what happened with "9"! We all hyped it up so much in our own minds with speculation and pairings and CLIPS! that when the movie finally came out it couldn't live up to it all and were all so disappointed!
UGH! Why do I let myself get sucked into these pre-emptive fandoms?! It only leads to disappointment! (GOD, I hope the movie doesn't disappoint me. I don't wanna be disappointed!). >.< Errrrrrgh.... *sobs* Whhhhyyyyy..... TAT
Ahem...
Please, excuse that outburst... I'm... not coping well. ;>.>

As for the things that I've been spoiled with...
I've unfortunately, unintentionally, discovered that
Francoeur <i>apparently</i> CAN'T speak, yet he can sing.
I find this rather disappointing in both regards to the movie and the effect it will have on my personal experience of the movie.Add to that the apparent fact that
Francoeur and Lucille don't get together in the end.
Anyway, see how easy it is to use spoiler tags when mentioning things other people have yet to see for themselves? Now the only thing preventing you from being spoiled is your own willpower.
