The aphid edged closer, now close enough to confirm that the two figures were indeed insects. A giant locust and... a VERY large cicada. He eyed the empty plastic tube the locust held, tasting the lingering sweetness in the air as his antennae curled in interest.
He looked at the cicada as he stopped and crouched down a few feet from the two male insects. His hands fidgeted anxiously as he looked between the locust, with his empty plastic treat, and the giant cicada, licking his lips. He chittered softly... hoping they had more of the sweet treat.

Releasing her grip on the quilt, she allowed it to fall to the ground with a wet 'plop'. Before anything else she covered her flattened antennas with a pair of her arms in hopes to keep them safe from the rain. They were already damp, but she couldn't bare to have them anymore wet than that. Keeping her eyes on the others for a moment- Aurore was not quiet able to hear Maurice's greeting with her feelers, since they were pressed between her head and arms tightly. She was able to tell, however, that she had been noticed along with the other smaller one.
As cowardice as she was, she didn't want to be seen as weak when compared to the little green creature. Even it was approaching them faster than she! She wasn't so scared of this one, so she moved to stand near it as it crouched. By now her fur was flat against her, even the clip she used to allow her sight from one eye was starting to fail. She took it out, and re-placed it once more in hopes to fix the problem. Rather, it did no real change. Her wings were useless as well; if she were attacked there was no way she could fly away to escape. This thought caused her great distress, so she took a step away from them again.

Kadar had been aware of the other two, and had gauged their size. He nodded his head to Maurice before standing to his full height, popping his neck one way then the other before turning around to eye the Alphonse and Aurore.
He dropped the empty plastic tube after a moment and turned back to the shredded water downspout, the honey had made him thirsty. He didn't normally like sweet things, but they were rare for him to indulge in currently, and he wasn't going to turn down the wet giant's offering of peace.
He would leave Maurice to handle the others, returning to heavily flowing water several feet away as he stretched out his hard antenna so he could listen in if the other two decided to approach. His head tilting back, tongue lagging out as he once again began to guzzle the slightly dirty rain water.

Kadar had left to go back to his water, dropping the empty honey tube to the ground. That was fine with Maurice, his main concern now was finding some help with his injured leg. He heard the sad chitter of one of the two bugs, and looked over to see the small little aphid crouching not to far away from him, eying the empty honey tube with a deep expression of want. Maurice smiled, a typical aphid indeed, they strove for nectar, it was no surprise that even when enlarged, one would still look upon such substance with that same hunger. He beckoned the little aphid closer with one hand, rummaging again in his pouch for another honey stick. He kept many of them in that pouch, because they were his favorite treat. "Chhchch~" He clicked at the young green boy, his expression softening to let him know that he wouldn't do him any harm. He was unable to get up and move, he might as well do something while he waited for the rain to stop.
He pulled out another tube, a small label saying "Killer Bee" on the side. A very strong but delicious flavor, if he remembered correctly. He held out the tube and smiled again, clicking as softly as possible, to coax the young aphid to him.

The little aphid's antennae perked up when the cicada beckoned and clicked to him, pulling out another of those sweet-smelling tubes. He jumped up eagerly, hopping closer cautiously, but excitedly.
Looking quickly between the giant cicada and the sweet treat he offered, the little aphid hopped closer. When he was close enough to decide the cicada wouldn't attack, he lunged the last few feet and snatched up the offered treat, plopping down next to the cicada with happy little chirp.
Tearing off the plastic tip, he eagerly suckled the honey from the plastic tube, purring happily and nuzzling his wet head against his new friend.

The one crouching before stood, dropping the object Maurice had offered earlier. She tilted her head and moved to pick up the empty container. A frown crawled on her face when she found it was no longer of interest, so she turned her head and gaze upon the giver once more.
By now she was able to tell what Maurice had handed Kader- and it seemed he still had some. It was desired so greatly the smaller one had been lured and fallen in love with it like the other before. She made a face, feeling left out. So, dropping the empty tube, Aurore stepped toward Maurice, held out a hand, and demanded "Want too!". She looked unsure for a moment, before softening her demand with a- ". .s'il vous plaƮt?" After all, even with such kind displays, she could never be too careful. If she were ever able to grow close to the large, generous being- she'd not show so much politeness.

Kadar ignored them for the time being, obviously Maurice's gesture of peace was now turning into an act of charity. Kadar was not one to offer such kindness, nor coddle or withstand the bossy or cautious nature of smaller things.
He drank greedily but only for a moment before pulling his head away from the shredded metal. With the sweet taste washed from his tongue, he turned to once again observe Maurice, and now his small friend...And the wet rat damanding some honey of her own.
He raised a brow, shifting until his shoulder was pressed into the building wall, one ankle crossed over the other as he silently observed the lot of them. They certainly seemed docile enough, but too many of them in one spot, in the open no less was not a wise decision. He'd let them snack for a moment before possibly suggesting they get out of the rain.
He did not know why he felt obligated to ensure their safety, or stay with them, he'd been alone for so long it stopped bothering him but he saw no harm in sticking with these other insects...At least for a little while.

The small aphid showed great content and joy, nuzzling up against Maurice's side. He smiled, he always did enjoy having kindness returned with kindness, and not guns.
And then, another one! It was slightly larger than the green one, but in it's drenched state, it looked more like a drowned rat than another, fellow insect. She held out a hand and sheepishly asked for one of his honey sticks. He had no problem with charity, these two were small, and harmless in his eyes. He wasn't the kind of cicada to turn his back to somebody in need. He handed out one more tube filled with sweet honey before promptly patting the little aphid's head. He clicked at the little insect, smiling. "Chchchch..." His brows furrowed. That's right, he couldn't chirp... He was a cicada, cicadas clicked and buzzed, a totally different language from the trills and chirps of the more common insects. He sat back against the wall, secretly hoping that his ankle would stop hurting a little.

The little aphid finished the honey treat with a happy trill as the cicada patted his head, but now that gushing rainspout looked much more enticing. The sweet, sugary honey had satisfied his hunger for the moment, but had made him even more thirsty.
Hopping to his feet, he trotted back out into the rain towards the rainspout and the tall locust. He peered up at the locust with a cute smile, then cupped his hands under the gushing flow and slurped up the slightly dirty water.

Her demands were met, but she was too uncomfortably wet to feel much pride over the triumph. She'd snatch the tube from the kind cicada, turning quickly and trotting a couple of steps away before sitting down to taste the honey. In truth she'd never had this treat before, so she was curious as to what all the fuss was about with the others. She'd take the top off with shaking, cold hands, and pour a little into her mouth.
This was really, really sweet. "Mmmm!" she chimed. The delightful taste nearly made her forget about how cold she was. Aurore stuck her tongue into the tube to get at sticky substance, but soon withdrew so she could return to pouring it instead. This was utterly delicous- it was the sweetest thing by far that she'd ever tasted in her life, almost! Finishing quickly, she tossed the container away without looking, and turned back to face the cicada. The honey had been so sweet that she didn't think she'd be able to eat anymore, so her intentions now were to thank him.
Standing, she walked back toward him, got onto her knees, and nuzzled his shoulder. "Merci!" she said blissfully, before becoming aware of her shakes and shivers again now that honey no longer distracted her. The drenched moth sat beside him and presses herself against his body the best she could. Her set of arms that she had protecting her feelers were growing tired, but she dare not move them yet. "Is cold." she complained faintly, her blunt teeth seeming to chitter.
