Of course, being blind and all, she did not take notice in the girl trying to cheer her up with silly faces and just sighed.
"Its my aunt. Ever since I moved to Paris, all she's ever done was treat me like a child."

"I appreciate your generosity." she replied, "But my aunt would probably fret more if I'm out and about without her supervision, even if its with a friend."

While in a blacked out state of mind he was suddenly revived at a sweet yet alcoholic smell he sensed from his antenna. The smell was strong since it was so close. Knowing that the woman was close by he tried to get back up again and finally lifted his torso upright but still stayed on his oddly jointed legs. Unknowingly he came face to face with the girl. astonished by the lack of personal space he backed up nervously slicking back his antennas against his head.
Her eyes were clearly alert now, she must of known he wasn't human. Ashamed at revealing his identity he tried to turn his ugly face away, staring at the broken bird toy he tripped over previously. "I'm really sorry for scaring you...I-i just wanted to help."

The ...man...thing...whatever he was, he looked up when she touched the spindly antennae things, their texture surprisingly sturdy and yet flexible like a, well, like a spring.
His face -still blue- was very.close.
He was actually...kind of...funny, not ugly...just.There was a word for that. She watched intensely as he scrambled back, those odd antennae drooping back down against his furry head.
She must have been staring too boldly, he broke eye contact and stumbled over his excuse.

Finally gaining his composure he took a deep breath and rose slow and steadily. He stared at the broken toy for a bit longer until he finally walked towards it and picked it up off the cold floor. Sighing he tried to fix the little wooden wing but it didn't seem to help.
Turning his attention back to the lady he started to disguise himself again by letting his wings fall over him like a coat, still wanting to appear normal. Hiding his extra arms he took a steady left hand out and helped her off of the ground. Swiftly after helping her up he put the hand back into his fake coat and ushered her towards the stairs. "I-it would have been rude to leave you on the streets like that, i'm sorry madam I couldn't help...h-helping you."
The soup would of went to waste but he knew that the lady wanted to leave and he couldn't blame her. He just hoped in the back of his mind that she wouldn't tell anyone about his identity.

The man rose, looking for the world as if he was about to go to court for a terrible crime, not guilty but still. Like he was.
He pickled up a little blue bird, it's wing had snapped and was hanging on by a splinter.
Recognizing it for a lost cause, the man looked at her. Really, looked at her. His eyes were a startling blue, so full of emotion, so very human.
Those great wings folded like a curtain over his shoulders, covering him like a over-sized coat.
He reached out a hand to help her from the floor, with a bit of heaving he succeed, and once she had her feet under her, he dropped her hand and hid it under the cloak.
He nodded towards the stairs, back up the room she had resided in, he did a little odd twitch with his mouth.
"I-it would have been rude to leave you on the streets like that, I'm sorry madam I couldn't help...h-helping you."
Siofra gave a soft smile in thanks, before turning and walking up those stairs. That stew would be a little cold now, but it was considered polite to eat when offered. She'd never turn down a offer to eat off another's table.
She early reached her room, when a thought struck her across the face.
'He must be so alone here...how did that actually happen?' The blue wooden bird, a toy, a child's toy in the middle of an adult man's house. So far she hadn't heard or seen any. 'Had he, had he been married before?'
With a flush of sympathy she rarely felt, Siofra turned sharply on the wooden floorboards, and legged it down those stair two at atime.
She reaches the man just in time, he was just closing the door of one room when she barreled into him, thankfully she didn't throw them to the ground, but the wind got knocked out of him by her embrace.
"I won't tell." She whispered against one furry side of his head, holding him so tightly she could feel the thrum of a heartbeat against her midriff.
I'll keep your secret safe."
She vowed she would.

"ADELINE!"
Aunt Regine came running up to her niece who was with another girl as she was panting from all the running she had to do in order to find her.
"Thank GOODNESS I was able to find you. You scared me to death back there. What were you thinking of running away like that, especially on a night like this? You could've gotten yourself hurt just by running!"

Watching her walk up the stairs made a rare smile appear on his dark face. He was glad that she was going to take her time and eat the soup he prepared. It gave him a satisfied feeling to see someone feeling better.
Peering back down at the wooden bird he decided to place it in his room to fix it. Wooden toys were hard to fix but he remembered the bird being one of his earliest memories. It was that simple gift that inspired him to try to help and care for people with as much compassion as if they were the family he never had.
While keeping his eyes glued dozily on the bird he started to walk into his room thinking what he could do to fix it. Thinking that he was going to use a hammer which would disrupt the house he started to close his door when unexpectedly he was caught off guard with an embrace.
Unsure how to respond at the sudden hug he just stood there wide eyed, flushed with his arms unexpectedly hanging there, unsure about what do to with them. The young butterfly felt his heart pulse rapidly soundly like his wings in flight. He awkwardly moved his arms in a sort of struggle. The feeling of warmth was nice but it felt so odd to him, it scared him thinking that it was abnormal.
"Clitk clitk clitkt..." he unwillingly made a soft almost unhearable clicking noise at his discomfort continuing to grow his face deeper into a flush.

Oops.
She broke him, she knew it. tiny, barely audible crackery-dee-clicks were coming from the tense body she held fast.
Now that she was noticing it, she was pressed awfully close to him...
With a unintentional squeak she unwrapped her arms from him, then reached and grabbed him before his tense body could hit the floor, again.
She held him gingerly by the shoulders, the odd, flowy texture of his wings beneath her fingers was warm, a sturdier than she'd first judged.
Gently she leaned him against the door frame, with him as stiff as a board it proved no hard feat.
Holding her hands open and palm up towards him, she slowly took a step back, giving him some breathing space.
"I, ach...I apologize fer me behavior...I er..am "not" used to being....um to being saved...twice..annd seeing bugs as big as humans...twice." She should shut up, just shut her gob and walk away. With an awkward little curtsy- Why?Why a curtsy?- she turned and began the long way up again.

"Well hello there." Regine replied to Rosalinda, barely paying attention to her while focusing more on her niece.
"Adeline, I know you're upset with me, but the only reason I'm protecting you is because I love you."
"I know you do and I appreciate your concern," Adeline sighed, "but I'm afraid your love is doing more harm than it is doing good. I'm eighteen now, which means I need to have some independence. You wouldn't deny something like that to me if I were a normal person, would you?"

Adeline was able to grasp that her new friend was giving her a chance for a little freedom.
"Thats right." said Adeline, trying to reassure her aunt, "We won't be gone for long and we'll be safe. I'll meet up with you back home, okay?"
Aunt Regine was at loss of words. She didn't want her niece to get hurt, yet perhaps she and the doctor were right, maybe a little independence was what she needed.
"Alright, but don't get into too much trouble."
"Merci!" Adeline hugged her aunt and then went to Rose, holding onto her arm so she could guide her.
